In 2005, after many years of dreams, I decided to take the big step and engage in a lot of ambitions project , the restoration of an exceptional vehicle, an Austin Healey 100/4 .

This decision was also related to my desire to share with my children, I had a passion since the age of 16 years. Ambitious project , certainly, but past dreaming times, disassembling, cleaning, brushing , sanding, read, think , dream and dream again , are unforgettable moments .

Nothing would have been possible without the help of my precious friends and Christian Maurice , discovered by chance ( and chance would have it ) , just as passionate , if not certainly , and involved 500 meters in us. They share the same passion, with no doubt recognized , valuable and necessary experience , patience they have managed to pass us, and then all the little and big things they did with us and for us . Between them, thank you !

The project is officialy ended in April 2011. As each collector, this beautiful car needs attention, delicay and a permanent maintenance. You will find in these pages the evolution of this project, which we took time , of course, but I wanted to lead from start to finish , from the arrival to the first revolutions of the engine , how intense the moment , since the bare until the last chromium to achieve this dream car that even today is to return to its passage , in an unforgettable sound.

Some phases were striking.

In December, 2008, the reassembly moved forward. The phase of painting was vital in the success of the project. After long reflections we decided in family that it would be blue, not in the standard colors but a beautiful metallic, custom-made blue. During the reassembly of the first elements the fact of seeing it so, consolidated me in this choice. How was beautiful this car which had populated my youth dreams...

Arriving at Saint Jorioz September 2005

After a few months of researches, contacts and discussions, I bought it in Toronto. The former owner, fascinated in classics too but in motorcycles, wanted to part from it. His father had begun the restoration 15 years rather and had stopped by health worry. After his death his son separated from it, to make room...
