In 2005, after long years of dreams, I decided to make
the big step and to make a commitment in a project full of
ambitions, the restoration of a vehicle of exception, an Austin
Healey 100/4.
This decision was also linked to my will to share a
passion which I have had since the age of 16 years with my children.
An ambitious project, of course, but moments spent dreaming,
defusing, cleaning, brushing, sanding, reading, thinking, dreaming
and dreaming again, are unforgettable.
Nothing could have been possible without the help of
my priceless friends, Christian and Maurice, discovered incidentally
(and the fate makes well things), so passionate, and probably even
more than that, and working 500 meters from our home. They share the
same passion, with an experience undoubtedly recognizable, precious
and indispensable, and a patience that they knew how to share with
us, and then all these small and bigger things that they made with
and for us. To both of them Thank you !!!
The project is not yet finished, not even close, but it
is on the right track. It will reach its end, maybe for the Le Mans
Classic. You will find in these pages the evolution of this
restoration, which took time from us, obviously, but which I wanted
to lead from start to finish, from the arrival to the first sound of
the engine, which was so intense, from the stake in bare to the last
chromium, in order to arrive at this perfect car which, still today,
makes head turned on its passage, in an unforgettable zoom.
